April 2003 The First Resort, the Thomson backed online travel agency, have signed a two year deal to integrate trailstream’s brochure content with their own portfolio of web sites and Interactive TV. As a result customers using TFR’s eCommerce platforms will be able to see full descriptions of hotels with images. trailstream will also manage the difficult task of matching the hotel descriptions to the availability data supplied by Comtec. In addition The First Resort will also link their own in-house agent intranet with trailstream’s database giving sales agents immediate access to the content. Inam Shah, Managing Director at The First Resort said, “We previously undertook this work in-house. Outsourcing this to trailstream means we’re saving money and ensuring this key operational task has the focus it needs.
